In this role, you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the open source community to help shape the direction of networking in Kubernetes.

• Design and implement complex, multi-quarter product changes in the Cloud Networking and GKE Egress space without supervision.

• Mentor and grow team members, set technical direction and delegate engineering work to achieve broader team level goals.

• Drive engineering outcomes for the SWP product area.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.

• 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with Kubernetes, Go, or micro-services.

• 3 years of experience in C++, Java, or Go, with a focus on high-performance, low-latency code or 2 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role

• Experience developing accessible technologies.
