In this role, you will be shaping the future of security automation, working with product experts and exploring the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) advancements.
The Google Cloud AI Research team addresses AI challenges motivated by Google Cloud’s mission of bringing AI to tech, healthcare, finance, retail and many other industries. We work on a range of unique problems focused on research topics that maximize scientific and real-world impact, aiming to push the state-of-the-art in AI and share findings with the broader research community. We also collaborate with product teams to bring innovations to real-world impact that benefits our customers.
Responsibilities

Design and implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools for Security Operations (Sec Ops) to support different AI Security Agents.

Integrate AI models over Vertex AI and work with the product team to understand the requirements for the integration, developing the integration code, and testing the integration.

Develop backend in ASP.Net Core or Python. Design and develop the backend services that will be used to power the AI models.
-
Design and develop core components of the AI Chat infrastructure using Go. Build scalable and reliable services for managing real-time communication, managing user sessions, and integrating with AI models.

Research and identify new AI technologies and techniques that can be applied to improve the Secops Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platform.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
-
2 years of experience with software development in Go, Python and C# programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

1 year of experience with large language models, natural language processing (NLP),or generative AI.
-
1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
Preferred qualifications
-
1 year of experience in applied machine learning (e.g., computer vision, generative AI, LLM).
-
1 year of industry experience in applied machine learning or machine learning research.
-
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and its security offerings.
