Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience with antenna design, antenna system feature design, bring-up or validation testing.

  • Experience in over the air (OTA) test methodologies and measurement systems, RF or OTA test scripting, OTA field testing in factory environment.

  • Experience in radio chipset logging and debugging.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication skills.

As an Antenna Systems Engineer, you will be part of the design team building Customer Electronics (CE) products such as cellular phones, watches, tablets, among others. You will be directly involved in cross-functional team engagement defining, developing, and testing antenna systems within the product design cycles, to achieve lowest possible cost and best RF/Antenna performance. You will leverage your solid Antenna systems design background and full knowledge of system architecture to build and shipping CE products.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Antenna/RF/Modem Software teams, bring-up, validate and test complex antenna systems features, including Maximum Transmit Power Level (MTPL) controllers, Transmit Antenna Selection (TxAS) controllers, and antenna Impedance Tuning (AIT) controllers.

  • Develop test plans, test, and support antenna systems feature testing.

  • Purchase and setup antenna system test equipment.

  • Identify and recommend creative ways to leverage or enhance existing practices.
