About the job
Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.
Network Delivery Engineering (NDE) focus is translating Google's network innovations into tangible, global-scale reality. We are the bridge between new network product development and its deployment across Google's vast infrastructure. Our team is responsible for the processes, software, data models, and material specifications vital for the launch and ongoing operation of next-generation (next-gen) network products. We productionize connecting the world with Google.
As a Lead Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for a team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) who orchestrate the delivery of Google's next-generation networking solutions. You will be the driving behind our most critical objective: to achieve a significant improvement in our speed to General Availability (GA) and post-GA cycle times.
You will build the strategy, develop the people, and clear the path for your team to deliver the networking infrastructure that powers the next big thing for Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. We empower Google customers with breakthrough capabilities and insights by delivering AI and Infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability and velocity. Our customers include Googlers, Google Cloud customers, and billions of Google users worldwide.
We're the driving force behind Google's groundbreaking innovations, empowering the development of our cutting-edge AI models, delivering unparalleled computing power to global services, and providing the essential platforms that enable developers to build the future. From software to hardware our teams are shaping the future of world-leading hyperscale computing, with key teams working on the development of our TPUs, Vertex AI for Google Cloud, Google Global Networking, Data Center operations, systems research, and much more.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.
