About the job

Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.

As a member of Google’s Advanced Water and Cooling team, you will join a global organization dedicated to making data centers and utility supply chains more resilient, efficient, and sustainable. This role integrates creativity with data-driven analysis to manage initiatives supporting infrastructure development, water procurement, and heat reuse solutions for Google’s data center fleet.

As a Strategic Negotiator for Water Market Development and Partnerships, you will be responsible for the delivery of complex, nationwide projects. You will require maintaining a high-level strategic focus while working closely with a wide network of stakeholders to ensure coordination on roles, responsibilities, and deadlines. You will develop and implement comprehensive project plans, track progress, and communicate vital status updates to ensure alignment across all key players. By driving strategic technical and commercial programs, you will play a critical role in scaling and maintaining Google’s essential infrastructure through expert negotiation and cross-functional leadership.
The Global Sustainability team enables Google to build a more sustainable future for everyone by driving strategy and solutions. We drive the development and implementation of Google’s global sustainability strategy to further empower action, ensure alignment and prioritization, identify leadership opportunities, and mitigate risks. We drive sustainability strategy and programs on carbon, circular economy, water, product integration, reporting, and employee engagement, while serving as a sustainability leadership advocate internally and externally.
