As a key member of our Contract Management team, you will embed commercial and contractual excellence across the program’s subcontracts to drive accountability and mitigate risk. You will be instrumental in fostering transparent vendor relationships, ensuring that subcontracted elements align perfectly with our customer’s evolving requirements. This role is vital to the program's success; the successful applicant will identify and advise on subcontract risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve challenges to ensure seamless delivery.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary commercial advisor and escalation point for subcontractors, ensuring all technical and procurement engagements are grounded in clear contractual obligations and professional accountability.

  • Drive the execution of subcontracted work packages to ensure every deliverable meets cost, quality, and timing requirements as defined in the head agreement.

  • Uphold a standard of commercial discipline to ensure the private cloud program consistently meets government customer expectations and adheres to all service-level commitments.

  • Design and maintain a commercial framework that flows down essential government mandates—including the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act (PGPA), ISO/NIST standards, and security requirements (ISM/PSPF)—directly into subcontractor obligations.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6 years of experience in vendor or subcontract management.

  • Successful candidates must be an Australian citizen and will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting level 1 (NV1) security clearance.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in engaging with executive vendor account leaders and managing vendor relationships.

  • Experience working directly within Federal or State Government agencies or as a consultant or vendor delivering IT programs to the Australian government.

  • Understanding of IT program delivery, with private cloud technologies and architectures.

  • Ability to influence and engage with cross-functional teams.
