Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Video commerce is changing the way that people decide what to buy, as part of the YouTube Shopping team, you will be at the forefront of this shift. Shopping is one of YouTube’s priorities, giving creators new ways to monetize, viewers a new way to engage with the creators they love, and retailers a new sales channel to build their businesses.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new features in the YouTube apps.

• Design and build infrastructure for serving and rendering of these features.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Participate in setting the technical roadmap.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.

• 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

• Experience developing accessible technologies.

• Experience in backend coding languages such as GOLang, Rust, or Java.

• Experience in ML model coding languages (e.g., Python).
