Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.

  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

  • 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

  • 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms. Go and Angular Js are the preferred coding languages

  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

  • Experience working with Google Cloud platform / Google Kubernetes Engine.

  • Experience working with EDA Tools and/or Chip Design experience.

  • Experience interacting directly with end users / Product aptitude.

The EDA Cloud team was established to provide tools and support for our rapidly expanding hardware engineering teams. We develop and manage unique software for deploying industry-standard EDA tools on Google Cloud. Our software engineers are focused on developing automation, including frontend clients and backend RPC services, for seamless tool deployment. Additionally, we're developing cloud-based solutions to scale these workflows effectively, and generate unique insights for our users using advanced machine learning techniques. This critical environment directly impacts hardware creation at Google.

US: $174000 - $253000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Write and test product or system development code.

  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.

  • Work closely with hardware engineers (the primary users of this system) and other engineering teams, design and implement a scalable and user-friendly platform to run EDA workloads.

  • Evaluate various technologies and architectures to identify the optimal solution that delivers the scalability, performance, reliability and usability required to run EDA workloads.
