About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager, you will join the Cloud Supply Chain and Operations (Indirect Category Management) team during a pivotal transformation. Our team is building a foundational, process-driven approach to category management to create a competitive advantage across the global supply chain.

In this role, you will act as a primary partner for the Cloud organization, harnessing supplier capabilities through collaboration, innovation, and a relentless focus on value delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document a multi-year sourcing roadmap using structured methodologies to align with the long-term goals of the cloud supply chain and operations organization.

  • Act as the single point of contact for a portfolio of suppliers, leading high-stakes negotiations and executive business reviews to secure commercial constructs.

  • Design and implement core governance, standardized processes, and supplier segmentation from the ground up to correct historical gaps and create a scalable foundation.

  • Embed with senior leadership in operations and global capacity planning as a trusted advisor, translating complex business requirements into actionable supply market strategies.

  • Partner with specialized cost intelligence teams to apply "should-cost" models and data analytics, ensuring supplier performance management and quantifiable value across the supply base.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience leading cross-functional projects and working with stakeholders in a matrix organization.

  • 5 years of experience in sourcing, category management, or procurement roles, with a focus on managing indirect spend categories.

  • Experience leading commercial negotiations and managing supplier relationships.

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree with a supply chain or technical emphasis.

  • Experience building and implementing new category management processes and frameworks from the ground up.

  • Experience in developing multi-year category strategies, including supplier segmentation, market analysis, "should-cost" modeling, and supplier performance management.
