Internal Communications Manager, GenAI and Chief AI Architect
About the job
As a member of the Executive and Internal Communications team, you will be part of a team which produces employee communications and events for Google executives. You will work with members of your internal client team on communications initiatives, projects and programs. You will support the work of the team to create strategic communications campaigns, come up with innovative ways to engage employees that are in tune with Google's culture, write communications, business update presentations and talking points. You will also collaborate with internal partners as needed across functions (PR, Policy, Legal, HR, Operations, etc.) and geographies.
As the Internal Communications Manager for Generative AI and the Chief AI Architect, you will serve as a high-impact strategic partner to one of Google’s most influential technical leaders.
In this role, you will architect the internal communications roadmap for the GenAI unit and amplify the Chief AI Architect’s vision across the company. Your mission is to solidify executive influence among Google’s engineering and research communities, ensuring that the technical backbone of the company feels seen and accurately represented by leadership.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$248,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Draft and refine the "Chief AI Architect Vision & Strategic Pillars" document. Work with the Chief AI Architect to formalize their vision for AI integration and outline immediate priorities for senior C-suite leadership and core product area leaders.

Drive the strategy and execution for high-priority internal forums, including division-wide town halls and executive circle & VP forums.

Manage high-level Q&As and profiles distributed to senior leadership, fostering connections and aligning on company-wide strategy.

Execute the "Cross-Product Area Tour" strategy, ensuring the Chief AI Architect engages with major internal forums across Sales, Cloud, Search, and Core Product teams to promote collaboration and celebrate cross-functional wins.

Develop, write, and edit high-quality communications, including emails, strategic memos, and technical workshop materials for engineering and research leads.
Minimum qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

10 years of experience in internal or executive communications within technology, engineering, or research organizations.

Experience working directly with product, engineering, or research leaders.
Preferred qualifications

Excellent portfolio of written work that demonstrates the ability to distill complex technical concepts into accessible narratives.
