About the job

UX Programs & Operations drives projects by increasing communication, streamlining the UX design process, and fostering a culture of user-centered development. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, to create industry-leading products based on user insights.
As a UX Program Manager, you will combine expert project management with a passion for user experience to improve the design of products used by billions. Your role is to plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure deadlines are met. You will harmonize the work of various UX disciplines and cross-functional partners to drive team objectives and create innovative experiences.
The Sales and Marketing Platform UX team empowers Google to intelligently engage with its customers at scale. As part of the Customer Engagement (CE) organization, we design and build products that are essential to how Google runs its business, fueling growth and assisting thousands of employees in managing the complete lifecycle for advertisers, publishers, and end-users. Our mission is to deliver a sales intelligence platform that drives customer success and seller effectiveness through uniquely Googley products shaped around customer satisfaction.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, scoping, and execution of complex, large-scale UX programs within the Sales and marketing platform to deliver products that enable intelligent customer engagement at scale.

Identify bottlenecks in the UX/product lifecycle and implement AI-assisted solutions, such as leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) for synthesis of user research and insights.

Manage research vendor relationships and define operational workflows to scale user insights, ensuring interdisciplinary teams have the data necessary to drive customer success.

Execute complex surveys and manage data pipelines, utilizing scripting to create automated dashboards and manipulate complex datasets for research applications.

Oversee major AI initiatives essential to the Ads product teams growth, aligning project milestones.
Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

6 years of experience in program management within design or UX organizations.

Experience with UX related projects and UX design, user research, or user centered development tools and methodologies.
Preferred qualifications
-
Experience analyzing data and leveraging insights to drive strategy.

Experience managing risks (e.g., operational, product, team health).

Experience in AI program management.

Experience with the product development lifecycle.

Ability to integrate UX processes (e.g., design sprints, research cycles) into the broader Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC), ensuring cross-functional alignment with engineering and product management.
