Job Description

The LATAM Head of ETF Business Development role is part of the Global ETF Distribution Team. This newly established role will define and lead our ETF strategy across Latin America, working closely with both regional and global partners across distribution, product development, and investments to commercialize current and future product offerings.

Initially focused on commercializing existing UCITS and 40 Act products, the expectation is that this individual will partner with product development to define a local product strategy, including registrations, cross-listings, and potential local listings. A successful candidate must have deep ETF experience, having worked specifically with regional clients on product selection and implementation.

The candidate should possess a strong understanding of ETF capital markets, including relationships with key ecosystem partners. Importantly, this individual will employ a consultative and client-centric approach to business development.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Raise awareness and drive asset growth for GSAM ETFs across Latin America.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for GSAM ETFs in the region, responsible for educating and supporting internal sales partners, investment teams, and broader regional stakeholders on the global GSAM ETF offering.
  • Collaborate with local distribution teams to develop country-specific plans to promote and commercialize existing GSAM ETFs across both wealth and institutional channels.
  • Partner with the Global Product Strategy team and regional sales leadership to define opportunities and requirements for the local LATAM ETF product strategy.
  • Educate a wide range of clients with varying degrees of ETF knowledge on investment strategies, product positioning, and portfolio implementation strategies across the full GSAM ETF suite.
  • Partner closely with internal groups including capital markets, product development, and portfolio management to articulate and deliver client-centric solutions.
  • Represent GSAM across the ETF ecosystem, including conferences, media engagements, and client meetings throughout the region.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of ETF-related experience in a sales, product specialist, or investment-focused role.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or a related discipline required.
  • Excellent presentation skills (in-person and virtual) with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Growth mindset with a business-owner mentality and a passion for identifying sales opportunities, innovation, and new value creation.
  • Strong interest in capital markets, asset management, and ETFs.
  • Proven track record of raising assets and managing multiple client relationships.
  • Self-starter with experience operating effectively within a large, global institution.
