Our Impact
We are part of the Systematic Trading Strategy (STS) team. The STS team develops systematic and client led investment strategies for our clients. The strats business unit is a world leader in developing quantitative and technological expertise to solve complex business problems. Working within the firm's trading, sales, banking and investment management divisions, strats use their mathematical and scientific training to create financial products, advise clients on transactions, measure risk, and identify market opportunities.
Responsibilities
As a member of the STS team within the FICC and Equities divisions at Goldman Sachs, you will drive the end-to-end lifecycle of rules-based index solutions by researching, developing, and implementing sophisticated, investible indices across global financial markets spanning multiple asset classes. This role requires the technical implementation of strategies into proprietary modeling platforms and ongoing support for production indices, enabling institutional clients to express macro views, harvest risk premia, and achieve targeted portfolio outcomes. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Trading, and Structuring teams to commercialize these products, providing them with high-transparency analytics, customized risk management solutions, and strategic marketing content that leverages the firm's premier execution and data platforms.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors, or Masters, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or similar subject.
- Strong quantitative skills.
- Strong programming skills, including clear understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of diligence and discipline
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, demonstrating initiative and showing commercial impact
