The Private Wealth Management (PWM) business provides end to end Investment Management services and advice across a full range of asset classes for High net worth individuals. PWM leverages a global technology platform offering, an integrated suite of tools and applications to service clients and family offices. This platform helps realize a client’s goals and objectives, develops and implements an integrated wealth management plan and delivers first-class client and family office services. PWM Digital team of engineers develop integrated web & mobile based solutions and strategic middleware services that provide PWM Sales Teams and Clients with detailed information on their financial portfolio & analytics for held and held away assets, services to enable ala carte set of services for family offices, social collaboration platform, and access to GS services and insights. Our team of engineers build solutions to solve the most complex problems and have the opportunity to work at the forefront of technology innovation alongside industry leaders and make significant contributions to the field.

We are looking for a Java Developer with strong knowledge and experience in developing highly scalable and resilient platforms that can deliver world class client experience.

We expect that you maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommend innovations that enhance operations and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

This role offers the opportunity to work in a competitive & nimble team of engineers building and supporting the family offices related platform on the firm's multiple award-winning public website, goldman.com and Mobile App.

Candidates will work directly with a variety of stakeholders, including the products organization/team, UX & visual design team and various engineering teams across the division to build and enhance the state of the art, industry leading & best in class platform, providing the PWM Family Office clients and advisors the capability to build tools related to onboarding, reporting, analytics, document sharing, electronic signatures, and billing. These collaborative tools are extremely key in enhancing the experience for clients so they can get the best possible service from our advisors. Advisors in turn given access to various wallet share opportunities since they will have visibility into the held away assets of these large family offices.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Strong knowledge and 2 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, REST based web services and building Service Oriented Architectures.

• Proficiency in designing, developing and testing cross-platform software; willingness to learn and adopt new languages as necessary

• Experience developing, deploying and supporting software across the full Continuous Delivery life-cycle

• Experience of version control, continuous integration, deployment and configuration management tools

• The ability to understand and effectively debug both new and existing software

• The ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, as well as the interpersonal skills required to collaborate effectively with colleagues across diverse teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Should have 2 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing REST based enterprise level web services in Java

• Should have complete understanding of version control strategies like GIT, continuous integration like Jenkins etc, deployment and configuration management tools.

• Should have experience in Test Driven Development with a strong focus on Contracts first implementation approach.

• Should have experience in debugging and fixing application issues including application performance improvements.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• A strong desire to produce high quality software through cross functional collaboration, testing, code reviews, and other best practices.
