Job description

The Analyst in Controllers, Capital Analysis, Planning, & Reporting at Goldman Sachs plays a crucial role in managing the firm's capital calculations, planning, and reporting, with a particular focus on regulatory capital and stress testing requirements. The role partners closely with Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Regulatory Reporting teams to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and governance of capital metrics used for internal management and external regulatory submissions, supporting capital projections, scenario analysis, and management reporting, while helping to maintain strong controls, documentation, and transparency across capital processes. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively while collaborating with various teams within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support capital analysis, forecasting, and reporting across regulatory and internal capital frameworks, including Basel III and stress capital requirements.
  • Contribute to the firm’s CCAR execution, including capital projections, stress scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Prepare and review capital-related management reports and materials for senior management, governance committees, and regulators.
  • Partner with Risk, Treasury, and other divisions to ensure consistency of capital assumptions, methodologies, and results across planning and stress testing processes.
  • Assist in the production and validation of regulatory capital disclosures and CCAR-related regulatory submissions.
  • Perform analytical reviews and variance analysis to explain period-over-period changes in capital metrics and stress test outcomes.
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of capital models, processes, and controls, including documentation to meet internal governance and regulatory expectations.
  • Participate in regulatory exams, audits, and internal reviews by preparing analyses, responding to inquiries, and supporting issue remediation efforts.

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $75000-$100000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
