The Japan Credit & Alternatives Sales team is looking to add an Associate or a Vice President to the team focused on providing sales coverage and solutions to financial institutions:
- Role is to provide sales coverage for financial institutions the desk covers with a view of stepping into the position of a lead coverage for some key accounts
- Execute and support flow credit transactions for institutional clients, partnering closely with trading to deliver timely and effective market solutions
- Work with global trading and salesforce to coordinate coverage across Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, and New York predominantly
- Gathering and presenting market and flow color in a concise format
- You will be able to represent the firm's view and showcase our thought leadership from our Global Investment Research team and trading desk views to clients to help them formulate their own independent investment ideas
- Interaction with support functions to ensure smooth running of the desk. As the team is very lean, this role includes large amount of autonomy and entrepreneurship in both covering and prospecting your own clients and building up new business for the team and firm, with appropriate guidance from the seniors
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record
- Strong analytical thinking and decision making skills
- Ability to work effectively with people and strong attention to detail
- Ability to synthesize and dissect large amounts of information in a fast-paced & dynamic environment
- Quantitative background and technical skill set
