BUSINESS UNIT

The Executive Office is comprised of several groups including Alumni Relations, Internal Communications, International Management, Marketing, Media Relations, the Office of Corporate Engagement (OCE), Investor Relations, Environmental Markets, Government Affairs and the Office of the Chairman. As a division, the Executive Office maintains and promotes the Goldman Sachs culture both within and outside of the firm.

Within the Executive Office, the Office of Corporate Engagement (OCE) coordinates the firm's global philanthropic initiatives, which include strategic partnerships, impact investing, and signature programs. It comprises the GS Foundation, Goldman Sachs Gives, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, One Million Black Women and Community Team Works (CTW).

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Office of Corporate Engagement in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical, commercially minded and execution-oriented professional looking to execute high-impact initiatives at the intersection of financial services, public policy, and social impact.

Candidates should possess 5+ years of relevant professional experience in a high-performance environment, a demonstrated record of academic and professional excellence, and the ability to manage workstreams with both strategic perspective and operational rigor. Candidates need not have direct experience in philanthropy.

RESPONSIBILITIESProgram Strategy & Execution

  • Support, develop and execute OCE strategy across Asia Pacific, helping translate global priorities for flagship programs like Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women, Goldman Sachs Gives, Community Team Works across key markets
  • Manage relationships with academic, nonprofit and ecosystem partners to ensure strong delivery, high standards of execution, and alignment with program objectives
  • Analyze program impact using quantitative and qualitative metrics to generate insights, drive continuous improvement, and inform strategic decisions
  • Monitor program performance, budgets, milestones and outcomes, and provide structured analysis to support decision-making and portfolio management
  • Coordinate effectively across the Executive Office and with other divisions to advance integrated firm-wide engagement opportunities where relevant

Thought Leadership and Stakeholder Management

  • Develop data-driven insights and analysis on key economic trends surfacing from our programs and stakeholders
  • Prepare high-level briefing materials, presentations, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership at the firm and for external engagements
  • Develop content and lead events on inclusive growth, entrepreneurship, and economic development
  • Manage relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior business leaders, policymakers, academic partners, and program participants

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for a candidate who is exceptionally smart, driven and productive, with a demonstrated ability to succeed in a demanding, fast-paced environment and the maturity to operate with significant autonomy.

  • Experience:

5+ years of experience in a highly analytical, strategic or client-oriented role such as investment banking, investing, management consulting, corporate strategy, public policy, or a related field

  • Teamwork and Mindset:

A proactive team player with strong strategic thinking and judgment, with the ability to connect detailed execution to broader business, reputational and impact objectives

  • Analytical Skills:

Exceptional quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort working with complex information, synthesizing findings, and translating analysis into actionable recommendations

  • Project Management:

Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects from concept through execution, while managing competing priorities and maintaining strong attention to detail

  • Communication:

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex issues, develop compelling narratives, and present effectively to senior audiences

  • Stakeholder Management:

Demonstrated ability to build credibility and work effectively with senior internal stakeholders and external partners across different markets and contexts

  • Language:

Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and English

  • Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
