YOUR IMPACT

Goldman Sachs Asset Management Real Estate is seeking an Investing Analyst/Associate with up to 5 years of experience and extensive financial analysis skills and technical capabilities to support our Real Estate Senior Credit function. The successful candidate will be responsible for thoughtful, quantitative analysis surrounding the performance of real estate credit investments and loan portfolio management.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Learn the methodology and mechanics of real estate credit analysis models and apply these models to existing deals and potential investments
• Assist the Senior Credit Investing team with the preparation of new transactions and credit proposals including asset, financial and market analysis
• Assist the Investing team with portfolio construction to optimize clients’ portfolios and maximize relative value
• Review and analyse various asset reports from third parties, accounting files, capex projections and monthly rent rolls
• Track relevant Real Estate market research and industry transactions / trends
• Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Operations, ESG, Development & Construction, Finance, Compliance, Tax and Legal. Provide these teams timely with adequate deal level data as required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong academic background in economics, business, law or math degree preferred
• Up to 5 years’ experience in investment management or relevant role with financial analysis component
• Demonstrated affinity for Real Estate
• Multilingual with fluency in English and preferably in German, Dutch, French and/or Spanish
• Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic
• Solid analytical/logical mind-set and detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills (clear, concise and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationships
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Able to work under tight time constraints and extended hours as required
