We are looking for a technically skilled Marketing Automation Developer to support the implementation and optimization of customer journeys across marketing automation platforms and Customer Data Platform (CDP) ecosystems. The ideal candidate will act as the technical counterpart to functional consultants, enabling advanced configurations, integrations, and custom development that go beyond standard platform capabilities. This role is intended for a developer who can work across data, journeys, and integrations to deliver scalable and high-performing marketing solutions.
Experience with Adobe tools such as Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Adobe Campaign, or Marketo is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities and Required Skills
This position requires strong technical expertise within marketing automation environments. The ideal candidate must demonstrate experience in:
Technical Expertise
- Advanced Campaign & Journey Development: support the implementation of complex campaigns and journeys, including triggers, conditional logic, decision splits, and multi-step workflows across marketing automation platforms.
- Personalization & Dynamic Content: develop and configure dynamic content using scripting, tokens, or platform-specific expression tools to enable personalized customer experiences.
- HTML & Email Development: build and optimize responsive email templates, landing pages, and dynamic content using HTML and CSS.
- Data Querying & Activation: work with data using queries (SQL or platform-specific tools) to support segmentation, audience activation, and campaign logic.
- Integration Development: design and implement integrations between marketing automation tools, CDPs, CRMs, and third-party systems using APIs, webhooks, and custom actions.
Backend Configuration & Engineering
- Journey & Workflow Configuration: support the technical setup of workflows, journeys, triggers, and decision logic across platforms such as AJO, Adobe Campaign, Marketo, or similar.
- Data Model & Field Mapping: understand and configure data models, field mappings, and data flows across systems to ensure accurate data activation.
- API & Webhook Configuration: set up and troubleshoot API connections, webhooks, and external data exchanges.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting: identify and resolve technical issues related to campaign execution, personalization, integrations, or data inconsistencies.
Collaboration with Functional Teams
- Technical Translation of Requirements: work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical implementations.
- Solution Design: propose scalable and efficient solutions for complex marketing use cases.
- Best Practices Implementation: ensure technical implementations follow best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Communication and Soft Skills
- High level of proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and functional stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and complex projects.
Desirable Experience

Experience with marketing automation tools such as Marketo, Adobe Campaign (Classic or Standard), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hub Spot, or similar.

Experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) is highly desirable.

Knowledge of JavaScript, APIs, JSON, and data integration patterns.

Experience working with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs).

Experience in migration or transformation projects within Mar Tech ecosystems.
