Introduction:

To support the silicon photonics modelling team in the development of best-of-breed compact models for a wide range of optical and electro-optical devices

Your Job:

  • Assist in the design and physical layout of Si Ph device characterization structures
  • Assist in the development of scripts to perform model parameter extraction from characterization results
  • Assist in the development and coding (VerilogA) of compact device models
  • Development of automation flow and scripts for repetitive tasks

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Actively pursuing a PhD in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field
  • Language Fluency
  • English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
  • Strong applied mathematical skills
  • Strong programming skills, e.g., Mat Lab, Python, R, etc.
