Job Description
New Product Planning & Commercial Assessment:
- Lead commercial assessments for internal assets, including market and product evaluations, business case development, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Local and Global Commercial and Development teams to ensure the successful evaluation and introduction of new assets to the China market, leveraging deep therapeutic area knowledge and market insights.
- Map and analyze product portfolios to identify growth opportunities and white spaces for long-term business growth and development.

Commercial Excellence & Cross-Functional Initiatives:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (BUs, regulatory, pricing, market access, etc.) and global stakeholders to identify opportunities and drive initiatives that enhance corporate effectiveness and impact.
- Establish strong working relationships and ensure alignment across local and global teams, integrating diverse perspectives into the evaluation and execution of new business models and strategic projects.
- Support and coordinate key strategic projects, including business development opportunity assessments.

Commercial Planning & Strategic:

Partner with BUs and cross-functional teams to lead the annual business planning processes, including the development and execution of annual brand and tactical plans, and the facilitation of corporate strategic meetings.

Collaborate across the business to support Launch Readiness Reviews key product launches, leveraging global resourcing and ensuring cross-functional contribution and timely execution.

Support overall Gilead China Commercial Strategy development and alignment with Senior Leadership and Global stakeholders.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills: -
Minimum 8 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment. Management Consulting experience is a plus.

Proven expertise in new product planning, strategic planning and business development.

Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and project management skills with a track record of developing and implementing business strategies in healthcare industry

Demonstrated ability to interpret market trends, market intelligence and data, financial data, and customer needs.

History of working and delivering on multiple projects simultaneously, with tight deadlines and changing priorities is required

Shows integrity, tenacity, resilience and adaptability in complex and evolving situations

Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills.

High proficiency in English, both written and oral.

Experience in successfully presenting to senior leadership audiences, including simplifying complex materials, educating, and managing audiences with differing viewpoints to get to alignment via clear and compelling storylines; Consulting and marketing background preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in medical, pharmacy, or bioengineering is a plus
