Global Warranty Senior Analyst at General Motors
About the role
Job DescriptionDUTIES:
Perform quarterly and annual vehicle warranty studies for and calculations of base passenger vehicle warranty for GM North America and GM International Product Center (IPC) for GM Middle East Region. Calculate and report on monthly accruals for global warranty expenses and liabilities for vehicles including warranty claims spend by GM NA and IPC entities for base warranty and other coverages. Perform monthly warranty account reconciliations in the Accounting Reconciliation Manual (ARM) system. Perform warranty quarterly adequacy adjusting entries into Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet accounts. Use SAP Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) to make journal entries and report all conventional ICE, Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) warranty coverages such as base, extended powertrain, courtesy transportation, small campaigns, and electrification. Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams, and perform data driven analysis to understand emerging trends and provide information to stakeholders. Hybrid Work Policy – 3 days In-Office at minimum – Must be able to report to local office.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study and Two (2) years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Warranty Analyst, Inventory Analyst, Product Cost Analyst, or related role. Two (2) years of experience with the following: Financial Reporting and Analysis; Accounting Software and ERP Systems; Internal Controls and Auditing; Data Analytics; and Reconciliation and Consolidation.
