Description The Role:
As the Quality Engineer Problem-Solver , you will be the primary plant resource for expertise and guidance on technical problem-solving activities. You will work cross-functionally with quality, manufacturing and engineering teams to find robust solutions to a variety of different plant issues related to quality, scrap and throughput to name a few.
What You'll Do:
- Identify opportunities for formal problem-solving projects targeting significant scrap reduction, manufacturing throughput improvement and quality metric improvement.
- Lead formal technical problem-solving activities for the plant.
- Be the site contact and subject matter expert for formal problem-solving projects.
- Coach and support other plant employees on formal problem-solving projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Attend departmental quality meetings to identify potential problem-solving / continuous improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate meetings with plant engineering leadership to collect progress updates on plant problem-solving and continuous improvement projects.
- Work towards obtaining Red X Master certification
- Obtain Op Ex Faster Master certification
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a technical (STEM) related field or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the year
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and off shifts, as needed by the business
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2+ years of leading technical problem-solving activities in a manufacturing environment
- Six Sigma black belt certification or higher
- Red X problem-solving certification / Shanin problem-solving certification
- Op Ex certification
Compensation:

Compensation: The expected base compensation for this role is: $68,900.00 - $105,700.00. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
