About the role

Overview

The Corporate & Intercompany Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations for corporate and intercompany activities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely closings, and full compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Accounting & Financial Transactions
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions within the Corporate & Intercompany scope.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Accounts Payable & Intercompany Processes
  • Manage the AP process for intercompany invoices, freight, and manual AP classifications.
  • Manage the monthly intercompany recharge process and perform IC AR/AP reconciliations.
  • Oversee and manage intercompany loan transactions.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner with HR, Payroll and Treasury teams on accounting and financial matters.
  • Work with cross-functional and multinational teams to resolve accounting issues and support business decisions.
  • Statutory Compliance & Audit
  • Actively support the on-time completion of statutory audits.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Tools & Systems (SAP & Concur)
  • Provide Concur support (employee expense reports) in collaboration with the Concur team to meet local compliance needs (e.g., adding GL accounts for Greek tax purposes in Concur postings).
  • Ensure accurate and consistent usage of SAP and related tools for all accounting entries.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Other Projects
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for all accounts assigned to the role.
  • Support and/or lead other accounting and finance projects as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in a similar accounting role, ideally in a multinational environment.

  • Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with SAP.

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) postings and intercompany accounting.

  • Solid understanding of statutory audit processes.

  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., IFRS/Local GAAP as applicable).

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel skills (must).

  • BSc/BA or MSc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multinational teams.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
