About the role
- OVERVIEW: The Storeroom Manager is responsible for all processes for the material parts storeroom within the Buffalo Cereal Plant and Flour Mill. The role will manage seven direct reports. The Storeroom Manager works 1st shift, but must be willing to work any shift including nights and weekends depending on business needs. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Manage and lead a team of storeroom analysts and clerks Responsible for Buffalo’s Storeroom Inventory Management(SIM) strategy and metrics Partner with corporate team to prioritize, plan and execute Storeroom Inventory Management projects Ensure Inventory Accuracy: Responsible for all processes of the storeroom, this includes but not limited to cycle counting, accuracy of min/max levels, and all aspects of inventory. Item Issues/Returns Ownership: Help internal customers (Maintenance Leads, Planners, Techs, etc.) and storeroom team locate parts, including coordinating with planners, using Maximo to issue and return parts etc. Look for Vendor Buy Back Opportunities, as well as other cost saving opportunities. Obsolete Parts Process Owner: Responsible for inventory reviews, internal transfers, disposal processes, receipts of payment etc. Physical Storeroom: Own and maintain storeroom 5S Standards to include cleanliness, security, tools boards and vending. Outsource OEM parts for cost savings. Work with engineering and maintenance leads when new equipment is brought in for correct set up in Maximo. Work with the engineering and maintenance when new equipment is installed to ensure all required spare parts are set up in storeroom with accurate information and adequate min/max levels. This role is expected to take additional accountabilities besides those outlined above MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School dipolma, bachelor's degree preferred 2+ years experience with Inventory Management Candidate will be expected to follow the strongest ethical standards Knowledge of Maximo, Excel & SAP Work with minimal supervision while keeping others informed of actions and progress Must be self-motivated
- Work a flexible schedule if needed Possess good communication skills as well as ability to build, foster and maintain positive relationships (Internal/External Customers, Vendors, Salesmen, Manufacturers) Work in a collaborative team-based environment Seek and participate in continuous improvement opportunities.
