Job Description Summary

Perform daily operations to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Impacts departmental operations and responsibility for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities

  • Leading teams responsible for multiple processes.
  • Executes production according to the appropriate instructions.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in operations, management or a technical background (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience) + minimum of 3 years experience leading teams

Desired Characteristics

  • Preferred experience of leading teams of 30 or more members for 5 years.
  • Well versed in end-to-end daily management of people and materials
  • NDT experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of the quality process
  • Working knowledge of SQDIP management framework
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative
  • Ability to develop, execute and monitor programs to ensure efficient execution of backend/shipping.
  • Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker who can interpret diverse streams of information and execute solutions effectively.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn
  • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively
