Job Description Summary

This role leads systems integration for the GEnx High Pressure Turbine (HPT) module within the Commercial Engineering Systems Engineering (CESE) team, reporting to the GEnx CESE Sub-Section Manager.
You will apply systems engineering across the full product lifecycle—from concept and design through production and in-service operation—defining and managing requirements, leading trade studies, and ensuring the HPT module is fully and correctly integrated into the engine.

As the Systems Module Leader, you will set technical priorities and direction for all GEnx HPT engineering activities, lead cross-functional teams, and exercise strong operational judgment to meet program, customer, and engineering leadership objectives. You will provide technical direction and project leadership to deliver on all Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals for the HPT module.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead systems integration of the GEnx HPT module, managing requirements, specs, and flowdown across components, partners, and execution teams

  • Drive validation and verification, including system-level testing, data analysis, and closure of findings

  • Own interfaces and configuration: manage module interfaces, configuration control, and support certification planning and execution

  • Perform CTQ and risk trades, balancing performance, durability, safety, cost, and schedule across component design teams

  • Provide technical leadership as a subject matter resource; mentor less-experienced engineers and lead small-to-medium projects

  • Support field and production issues, leading root cause investigations for returned or production hardware and recommending corrective actions

  • Apply FLIGHT DECK principles to solve problems and foster continuous improvement in execution and processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum 8 years of applicable engineering experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across functions

  • Proven leadership and project/program management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems

  • Ability to plan, document, and execute engineering programs and projects

  • Experience with design and manufacture of HPT rotor, stator, or airfoil hardware Why Join Us: Join a high-impact systems engineering team where your decisions directly shape the performance, reliability, and lifecycle of a flagship commercial engine! You’ll lead cross-functional work on complex HPT hardware, gain broad visibility across the GEnx program, and help deliver safe, high-quality products for customers worldwide.
