Job Description Summary
Quality Manger Aerospace will be responsible for driving teams and leading operational cadences and daily management focusing on cross functional quality operations for aerospace component manufacturing divisions.

Site Overview:
Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defence and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide QC set-up and support in tendering and execution phases of aerospace shop fabrication quality functions .
- Oversee a team of quality shop associates extending across various quality cross functional domains .
- Driving Zero defect mindset and addressing customer quality disruptions , containment's & closure communications.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
- Handling and supporting inspection using contact and non contact measuring equipment examples and not limited to : CMM , VMM , etc.
- Driving cell level daily management and cadences . Planning shifts and cell staffing to cater to ongoing production plans.
- Utilise technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- Reviewing incoming new program project readiness , new and ongoing tolling reviews and developmental requirements , measurement methodology readiness and preparing business case for new investments as and when needed.
- Mentoring , training , coaching & enabling teams to drive operations for various quality and aerospace related aspects extending from quality management , metrology , quality control and Aerospace customer related qualifications.
- Driving Kaizen and continuous improvement mindset and initiatives.
- Ensuring Cell level compliance and integrity within self and teams per site operating procedures.
Ideal Candidate:
Should be an experienced aerospace quality professional with a bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years of experience in aerospace quality, with strong hands-on inspection experience (CMM, VMM) and a proven track record of leading and developing teams on the shop floor
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least 8-10 years of experience in Aerospace quality domains only .
- Quality auditing and certifications specific to Aerospace fabrication and management system domains .
- Active Aerospace Auditor certification are added advantages .
- Active Working experience on AS9100 / AS13100 requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to various Aerospace OEM requirements such as Boeing , GE etc.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems using structured problem-solving.
- Demonstrated alignment with GE Flight Deck behavioral principles, including respect for people, humility, being customer driven, problem-solving mindset, and a collaborative, cross-functional approach.
