Manager, Learning Design & Development – Corporate Functions
Position Overview
The Manager, Learning Design & Development position leads a high-performing team responsible for designing, developing, and delivering innovative learning solutions that drive business outcomes across the enterprise. This role manages large-scale, complex projects, collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensures the effective use of modern learning technologies and methodologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional project management skills, experience working with internal clients and external vendors, and a proven ability to deliver impactful learning experiences at scale.
A critical aspect of this role is the ability to inform, influence, and interact with C-suite and senior executive leaders. The successful candidate will possess outstanding presentation skills, including the ability to build compelling executive-level presentations and confidently deliver them to top leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and Manage Large-Scale Learning Initiatives: Oversee the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide learning programs, including regulatory, compliance, and business-critical curricula. Drive strategic initiatives such as compliance frameworks, insurance and product education, and digital transformation projects.

Project Management: Develop project charters, roadmaps, and milestones for major learning initiatives. Ensure timely delivery, resource allocation, and achievement of key performance indicators. Leverage data and analytics to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate ROI.

Executive Communication & Presentation: Regularly inform and engage C-suite and senior executives on program status, strategic direction, and key outcomes. Build high-impact presentations tailored for executive audiences and deliver them with clarity, confidence, and executive presence.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, subject matter experts, and executive sponsors. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align learning solutions with organizational goals and operational needs.

Vendor and Technology Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners. Oversee the implementation and governance of learning platforms, AI-enabled content development tools, and multimedia solutions. Ensure compliance with contractual, security, and regulatory requirements.

People Leadership: Serve as a strong people leader by inspiring, empowering, and developing team members. Promote a positive, inclusive culture that values growth, collaboration, and high performance.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all learning content meets technical accuracy, business relevance, and compliance standards. Implement feedback loops and analytics to measure effectiveness and learner satisfaction.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum 5 years of experience in training and development, with a focus on large-scale project management in a corporate or enterprise environment.

Demonstrated success managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, tight deadlines, and evolving requirements.

Experience working with internal clients, executive sponsors, and external vendors.

Proven ability to build and deliver executive-level presentations to C-suite and senior leaders.

Strong knowledge of e Learning, blended learning, and virtual instructor-led delivery.

Proficiency with learning management systems, AI-enabled content development tools, and multimedia production.

Hands-on experience managing teams that develop learning content and course assets using digital learning tools (e.g., Synthesia, Articulate, Vyond, Adobe, etc.)

Experience with data-driven decision-making and learning analytics.

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in the insurance, financial services, or highly regulated industries.

Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile).

Demonstrated experience leading or supporting AI transformation initiatives, including the adoption and integration of AI-enabled tools and technologies to enhance learning, content development, or business operations.

Background in media production, including hands-on experience with video shooting, editing, and managing production with internal or external crews.

Proven track record as a strong people leader, with experience building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.

Annual Salary
$91,225.00 - $172,200.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
