Job Description Summary
GE Vernova Singapore Services is seeking a dynamic Product Engineer (Rotor Repair). This role involves overseeing Heavy Duty Gas Turbine rotor repair and reports directly to the Senior Operations Manager within the Rotor Repair Cell.
As a Rotor Product Engineer, you will drive business transformation initiatives for High-efficiency Air-cooled (HA) gas turbine rotor repair capabilities, supporting GE’s largest and most advanced gas turbines in Singapore. This role ensures timely service to the regional market, enabling shorter lead times, reduced logistics costs, and enhanced fleet performance. You will collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to implement process improvements, lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives, and uphold the highest standards of product reliability, quality, and operational excellence
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities

Assess rotor component conditions and define repair work scope based on engineering requirements.

Develop and maintain engineering-based work instructions and product/process qualifications.

Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions to resolve operational and quality challenges.

Lead process improvements and implement new repair methods to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Review incoming condition reports to ensure compliance with technical specifications.

Support the Cell Leader in achieving safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with the Engineering Team on technical, engineering, and quality matters.

Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimize safety, quality, cycle time, productivity, and overall operational performance.

Drive continuous improvement projects that deliver measurable impact to customers and the business.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s in mechanical, Aerospace, or Power Engineering.

Experience with gas turbine rotors, rotating machinery, or power generation equipment is preferred.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills.

Proficiency with Lean Six Sigma, quality improvement tools, and root cause analysis.

Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
