Job Description
As a PDG HVDC Tender Technical Manager at GE Vernova's Grid Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing the technical scope of HVDC product part during the tender phase of an HVDC project. You will be responsible for collaborating with regional teams, product lines, and customers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality technical proposals that align with cost targets, safety standards, and customer expectations. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of the grid while supporting decarbonization and electrification worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
· Technical Leadership: Act as the primary technical coordinator for the HVDC scope, liaising with regional teams and product lines to consolidate technical deliverables.
· Project Coordination: Manage the technical schedule, ensuring alignment across HVDC engineering functions and timely submission of tender documents.
· Budgeting and Resources: Define the project engineering budget and ensure proper allocation of resources for each work package.
· Customer Relations: Ensure compliance with customer requirements, conducting detailed clause-by-clause analyses and coordinating technical responses to customer queries.
· Document and Configuration Management: Organize and validate all technical documents, ensuring consistency before final submission.
· Pre-engineering Expediting: Monitor the on-time delivery of technical outputs, ensuring designs meet contract requirements and cost optimization strategies.
· Risk Management: Consolidate and manage project risks and opportunities, developing mitigation plans as needed.
What you bring:
· Experience: 10+ years in engineering roles within EPC environments (T&D, Power Generation, Oil & Gas), with specific expertise in HVDC technology.
· Skills: Proven ability to lead complex technical projects, strong relationship-building, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
· Leadership: Strong decision-making skills and the ability to inspire teams to meet goals, even in dynamic environments.
· Global Mindset: Willingness to travel and work across regions to manage tendering activities worldwide.
· Communication: Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver technical information concisely and clearly.
