Job Description Summary

Expert in design related to HVAC (and preferably HVDC) transformers

Job Description

3D, 2D (Inventor, Autocad), document management system ( Wind Chill, equivalent), transformer design knowledge, formation of rules and processes, experienced in customer-related and internal design reviews and trouble shooting. Overall knowledge of electrical, mechanical and controls engineering related to transformers, knowledge of Finite Element modelling related to transformers, offshore / HVDC experience preferred. Ability to constructively challenge the status quo.

Key decision maker for approval of designs.Leads review of design and drawings, Finite Element Modelling, Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters, Design Effect and Failure Mode Analysis (DFMEA).
Leading review of specifications, selection of components, on-time delivery, right first time and budget adherence as the main Key Performance Indicators.
