Job Description Summary

We’re seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the design and development of cloud-native, enterprise-grade applications. In this role, you will help build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using ASP.NET Core, and develop responsive front-end solutions with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js. You’ll support best practices in code quality, testing, security, and observability, while collaborating closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions. Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications is a plus.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Contribute , design, and development of RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET, ASP.NET Core (Web API, MVC), and Entity Framework
• Understanding of engineering best practices: SOLID principles, design patterns, code reviews, technical standards, and documentation
• Build front-end experiences using JavaScript/Type

Script with ReactJS:

• Own end-to-end delivery: requirements, design, implementation, automated testing (unit, integration, UI), performance, and deployment
• Design for reliability, scalability, and security in AWS; containerize and ship services with Docker
• Work across data stores (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle), including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Implement and improve observability (logging, monitoring, alerting) and drive operational excellence
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities where appropriate to enhance product features and developer productivity
• Ensure secure development practices including SAST/DAST and remediation of findings
• Mentor and coach engineers; lead technical initiatives and collaborate with product, UX, and stakeholders

Must-have qualifications

• Deep .NET expertise with ASP.NET Core (Web API, MVC) and Entity Framework
• Strong RESTful API and Microservices design and development
• Proficiency in Java

Script and TypeScript:

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks of ReactJS
• Solid grasp of SOLID principles, design patterns, and microservices architecture
• Strong SQL skills across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
• Automation experience: unit, integration, and UI test frameworks
• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure
• Docker experience for containerizing applications
• Proven ability to lead initiatives and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions

Nice to have

• Monitoring and logging tools: Splunk, Prometheus, ELK Stack
• DevOps/CI/CD tools: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Groovy
• Load/performance testing (e.g., JMeter)
• Security best practices in SAST and DAST
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience working independently in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
• Practical AI skill set (e.g., integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications)

Education Qualification

For roles outside USA:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience with 2 to 5 Years.
• For roles in USA:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise:

• Master's Degree/ PHD in Computer Science
• Experience with Windows and Unix / Linux based programming
• Experience working on software projects in the Energy domain (Energy Management, Oil & Gas, Power & Water)
• Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner

Business Acumen:

• Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
• Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
• Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry trends
• Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices

Leadership:

• Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members
• Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale. Able to speak to mutual needs and win-win solutions. Uses two-way communication to influence outcomes and ongoing results
