  • Overview We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Supervisor (Weekend Shift: Saturday
  • Tuesday 6:00am to 4:30pm) at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing materials, equipment and supplies by directing receiving, warehouse, inventory and distribution staff.

Essential Functions Responsible for individual/team development while maintaining departmental performance indicators, focusing and leading team to drive continuous improvements, and maintaining a safe work environment Responsible for accuracy of inventory, transactions and material movement warehouse wide and review/investigate inventory discrepancies Supervise activities and associates with receiving, replenishing, picking, value add, ato, and shipping product and monitor/audit for compliance with established procedures Ensure First In/First Out (FIFO) and Last in/First Out (LIFO) policies are adhered to as defined in departmental procedures Directly supervise various levels of team members by setting the tone for the team environment and providing individualized coaching, training and mentoring Participate in recruiting activities, interview, hire, train/maintain training records, and evaluate performance for the team Collect, manage and post departmental goals and metrics Implement process improvements to increase accuracy and improve productivity Perform/fill in for all tasks of direct reports to cover absences when necessary Ensure that assigned area remains in compliance with 5S standards Maintain records in accordance to Operations Attendance Policy, if required Identify and form teams to drive continuous improvements in area Manage workflow, shift resources, and equipment to accommodate work load Work closely with other supervisors to help accomplish/implement departmental goals and lead daily departmental meetings and MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement) efforts Cleanliness zone area requirements: This position requires Garmin provided personal protective equipment including SD shoes (Static Dissipative Footwear) to be always worn for an entire shift to minimize the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD) and meet specified standards Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Operations, Material Management or related field with demonstrated previous Operations leadership OR an Associate’s Degree AND a minimum of 2 years demonstrated Operations leadership experience Must possess previous leadership experience or demonstrated experience in leading, training, mentoring, and/or developing other team members Must possess demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must be positive, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and lead in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment Must be willing to work additional hours to ensure that department needs are covered Desired Qualifications 5+ years supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or operations related environment Ability to speak and understand foreign languages Previous Oracle experience Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
