Overview We are seeking a full-time Systems Test Engineer 2 at our Chandler, AZ office. In this role, you will be responsible for validating and verifying aviation systems, applications, and integrated platforms used in aviation operations and services. The role focuses on designing test plans, creating and executing manual test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring software and system reliability. Essential Functions Design test plans, develop, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios based on system requirements and functional specifications. Perform system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance support for aviation software systems. Identify, document, and track defects and system issues using defect tracking tools. Work closely with software developers, system engineers, and product teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution. Analyze system requirements and participate in test planning and test strategy development. Ensure systems meet quality standards, safety regulations, and aviation compliance requirements. Prepare and maintain test documentation, test reports, and validation records. Participate in release testing and production validation activities. Support continuous improvement of testing processes and quality assurance practices. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or another related field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Demonstrates mastery of relevant tools for use in system testing Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills Demonstrates knowledge of requirements for simulator qualification Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others Desired Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing or system testing Experience using project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps Exposure to test automation frameworks or scripting languages Basic familiarity of CI/CD pipelines and automated build/test environments Experience working with aviation or aerospace systems Knowledge of aviation regulations or safety standards Exposure to API testing, or basic scripting Previous work or internship experience with Garmin related products Pilot's License (Aviation Only) ISTQB or similar software testing certification Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
