Overview We are seeking a full-time Retail Merchandising Specialist in our Santiago, Chile location.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting and project managing various aspects of customized retail merchandising, point-of-sale displays and promotions for distributors, small/medium size chains and independent retailers including development, sell-in and implementation while assisting with new product introductions, in store fixtures, and other collateral needs all in order to meet the Garmin merchandising objectives, to promote the Garmin brand and stimulate sales of Garmin products.

Essential Functions Develop, sell-in and implement merchandising plans on a proactive basis Develop partnerships with retail store leaders at our dealers and POS vendors Develop collaborative retail P.O.S. concepts with Art Directors, copywriters, vendors and others for retail merchandising displays Propose promotional merchandising solutions and ideas to Sales & Marketing teams and Segments Initiate, from start to finish, execution of merchandising projects with creative team, vendors and others Plan, deliver and track training and re‑training programs for vendors, retail staff and partners (product knowledge, merchandising standards, POS execution) Propose, coordinate and supervise the implementation of in‑store displays and fixtures at our own stores and at retail/partner points of sale, ensuring brand standards and execution quality Assist with day-to-day dealer requests for merchandising and various needs Perform administrative duties such as getting quotes, requesting part numbers, documenting artwork and structural design schematics, shipping collateral material to national/international dealers, filing, etc.

Research and remain current on merchandising and promotion trends, technology and execution Limited travel to meet with retailers, buyers, merchandising teams, trade shows and vendors Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Management, Merchandising, Design or relevant field OR a minimum of 4 years experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description Must possess a minimum of 3 years experience working in retail merchandising, promotions and project management performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description Must possess a minimum of 1 year of vendor management experience relevant to Garmin’s business needs Must possess demonstrated experienced working with retailers Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
