JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Corporation is currently seeking an experienced General Technician to join our Plant Operations team based on the historic FOX Studios Lot in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will support two 24/7 critical operation facilities.

Depending on experience, you may be hired as either a General Technician or a Building Technician. We are also open to considering candidates to start per-diem, which will provide training and may yield a high growth opportunity.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform general maintenance functions under the direction of a building technician or technician in charge
• Perform air conditioning maintenance, filter changing/cleaning
• Monitor all air conditioning and refrigeration units in the physical plant
• Assist with general maintenance, construction, and repairs to the physical plant and building
• Conduct preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, package ice machines, central air handlers, and water pumps

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 3+ years of general maintenance experience
• EPA Certification
• Knowledge of schematics and blueprints, electrical distribution, refrigeration, air conditioning, chillers, and cooling towers
• Willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Successful candidate will be required to join the NABET Local 53

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

• High school diploma or equivalent; Trade school certificate or equivalent
• Plumbing experience and general knowledge of building energy management systems

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $35.33 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
