JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Business Network is looking for a talented Production Assistant to join the Mornings with Maria team. As the Production Assistant, you thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and have a passion for business news.

You will be offered the following shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30 AM ET - 11:30 AM ETA SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist producers with elements for the opens, resets, teases, and segments, including pulling and cutting VO/SOTs; selecting, buying photos, and making pic pushes; creating graphics

• Coordinate reporter hits and produce highlight reels

• Help manage and oversee graphic elements during the show ranging from banners to stock charts in the control room during the live broadcast

• Pitch stories for news of the day and future segments

• Book guests during breaking news situations

• Learn to conduct pre-interviews, research topics, and produce segments

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• A Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience

• Strong interest in business news or economics

• Excellent administrative and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $19.00-27.65 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
