JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX is looking for an Event Manager for the Special Events and Production Group within the FOX Global Security Operations Department. The Event Manager will report to the Executive Director of the Special Events and Production Security Group and will be responsible for supporting off-site productions and special events enterprise-wide. This position plays a pivotal role in providing contingency planning, security leadership, incident management, and crisis communications for FOX Entertainment, FOX Sports, FOX News, and FOX Television events and productions.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as project lead for security at assigned events, ensuring completion within deadlines and within the operational scope of standardized security functions
  • Provide security risk assessments of stadiums and other sporting arenas, theaters and stages, hotels, meeting rooms, red carpet areas, and other event-related venues
  • Provide guard force and other vendor oversight for events
  • Provide Fox’s Senior Vice President, Environmental Health & Safety, with reports related to issues such as internal investigations, policies and procedures, and other business-impactful situations for management upon request
  • Coordinate with internal Fox business unit clients that sponsor large-scale special events to provide advice and to obtain key information throughout the event lifecycle
  • Liaise with high-profile talent and associated security staff to ensure their integration with the overall security plan
  • Specify physical resources that will be required to maintain security (e.g., closed-circuit television, infrared equipment, metal detectors, barriers, etc.).
  • Maintain close coordination, planning and communication with the security workforce by disseminating Fox’s security policy to the respective teams and documenting performance as required
  • Oversee the gathering and dissemination of applicable threat intelligence related to any/all events prior to, during, and after each event
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of security audits to identify areas of improvement (to include oversight of corrective measures)
  • Manage 24x7 event security operations
  • Maintain relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement and other government agencies
  • Maintain awareness of situations within and surrounding Fox events and facilities to evaluate and escalate as necessary
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of security responsibilities as they relate to emergency response, security team training, and contingency planning
  • Function as a directly responsible individual at event sites, utilizing proper judgment, to solve problems and to make decisions that reduce and/or eliminate a negative impact on Fox’s business
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 7+ years of work experience in the security field
  • 3+ years of experience as a security lead or in a management position for a top security organization (law enforcement or military background may be considered in lieu of preferred private security leadership position)
  • Experience in the planning and implementation of security for live public events and productions
  • Experience in the assessment of risk and the provision of security advice, including the conduct of security assessments (personnel security, physical security, and information security), and risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to travel extensively and produce top results in unfamiliar environments
  • Possess a current passport and be eligible for international travel
  • Significant executive protection experience with high-profile individuals in travel and public settings
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to think strategically and develop solutions
  • Strong team player with the ability to negotiate effectively to achieve objectives
  • Strong security background in media, entertainment, and public event management

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-105,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
