About the Role
The Assistant General Manager of Vernick Fish, our award-winning fine dining restaurant, supports the General Manager in leading daily operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role is highly visible in the restaurant and plays a key part in fostering a positive team culture while ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and outstanding service.
What You Will Do
- Support and lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction
- Be present on the floor, engaging with guests, handling concerns, and creating memorable dining experiences
- Partner with the General Manager and culinary team to maintain the highest quality of food and beverage offerings
- Manage labor and operating expenses through scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory control
- Lead, coach, and inspire team members to achieve their full potential and promote a collaborative environment
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Contribute to strong public relations through service excellence and guest engagement
What You Bring
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Proven track record of delivering high levels of guest satisfaction
- Solid business acumen with experience managing costs and driving performance
- Expertise in fine dining service and food & beverage operations
- Knowledge of wine and beverage programs
- Ability to manage guest concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Familiarity with food safety and Department of Health requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
