In this position...

  • Ford Racing Engineering Lead in the Plant Vehicle Team ( PVT ) on the Bronco Raptor product. Manage the quality of the Bronco Raptor to meet the customer requirements with cross-functional team of Michigan Assembly Plant team members, Ford Racing Engineers and the Supplier Partners.
  • Use data driving methods to problem solve issues as they arise to deliver a high quality Bronco Raptor.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 3-5 years combined experience in Program Management, VO/Launch, PVT, Quality
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to drive a team to resolution with work plans and accountability
  • High degree of self-motivation and willingness to commit extra effort to "get the job done"
  • Candidate must be comfortable in speaking and working with Chief / Director level management
  • Candidate must be comfortable in speaking and working with Plant Line Operators through Area Managers in understanding and resolving of issues
  • Previous rotations in Ford assembly plants
  • Experience in vehicle evaluation, program management, product launch or quality roles
  • Passion for Raptor and Ford Racing products
  • This position will also work at Michigan Assembly Plant (MAP).

Even better, you may have...

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Understanding, or willingness to learn, fundamentals of Chassis, Body, Powertrain, and Electrical systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (including PowerPoint and Excel pivot tables)
  • Familiarity with Teamcenter for accessing vehicle CAD images
  • Tier 2 Driver Certification (training available if not already Tier 2)

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.

What you'll do...

  • Lead daily claims report for both Ford Racing and vehicle assembly plant (PVT)
  • Lead weekly Quality PAT forums along with managing R/1000 and CPU reports for a specific vehicle(s)
  • Support daily assembly plant PIC room / Whiteboard / FCPA reviews
  • Support daily GQRS and warranty claims binning, which may require interfacing with dealership technicians
  • Lead Analytical Warranty System (AWS) and Early Claims Binning (ECB) claims analysis
  • Manage Balanced Single Agenda for Quality (BSAQ) projects and update system status regularly
  • Support VRT/VFG meetings on weekly basis and quality reviews (FQR, VQR, PDQR)
  • Assist troubleshooting vehicles that fail in-plant testing
  • Support STA / Assembly Plant Incoming Quality with resolving plant and supplier quality issues
  • Liaison for Program Management Team (PMT) with Product Specialist /plant personnel
  • Review and drive closure of Fresh Eyes (Campaign Prevention) issues
  • Drive issue resolution with Design/Supplier/Manufacturing issues and support working level meetings/report out
  • Jira (formerly AIMS - Automated Issues Management System)
  • Manage WERS system with Concerns / Alerts and lead/support assembly trials for change verification
  • Work with Plant Quality Team and PVT to prioritize critical path changes for a vehicle program
  • Interface with Plant Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering (VOME) teams to clarify and resolve manufacturing vs design issues
  • Review and manage daily audits post Mod Center Inspection
