- The Physical Security Systems Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end operational execution, stability, configuration, and lifecycle management of enterprise physical security applications at the Glendale, KY Ford Energy site.
- Because this is a newly created role, you will bridge the gap between daily operational support (alarm monitoring, badging operations, commissioning) and advanced application administration (system upgrades, third-party integrations, and advanced technical support).
- This role supports Enterprise Access Control systems, Enterprise Video Management Systems, Perimeter Intrusion Detection, Biometrics, and Badging Operations.
You'll have...
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and certifications.
- 2+ years of experience in physical security systems administration, badging operations, access control administration, or IT/application support in a customer-focused environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, client/server applications, and basic networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN concepts).
- Demonstrated ability to learn new application interfaces, follow established procedures, and troubleshoot across software, hardware, and network dependencies.
- Strong customer service, documentation, and communication skills to partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Physical Security Technology: Familiarity with enterprise physical security systems and concepts across Feenics, Hanwha, Senstar, Wavelynx, SAFR, ID Producer, and DASCOM printers. Understanding of how alarms/events flow from field devices to operators.
- Troubleshooting and Operational Execution: Strong diagnostic approach for multi-domain issues (device vs. network vs. application vs. workstation). Ability to interpret logs/events and comfortably work with vendors to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
- Networking / Systems Fundamentals: Experience supporting Windows-based environments, including permissions, services, drivers, and firewall rules/ports.
- Data Quality and Access Integrity: Strong attention to detail managing cardholder records and audit trails, with a firm grasp of least privilege access.
- Documentation and Process Discipline: Experience building and improving request/intake workflows (forms, approvals, tracking, metrics).
- Professional Skills: A customer service mindset with calm, clear communication during incidents, strong prioritization in a fast-paced environment, and high integrity when handling sensitive security information.

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

What you'll do...
- Application Administration & Governance: Administer and maintain physical security applications and related services. Review system logs and performance indicators to improve stability, and maintain software licensing/entitlement records.
- End-to-End Technical Support: Provide both first-level and second-level troubleshooting for field hardware (readers, panels, cameras), client/workstation software, and network connectivity. Create, manage, and escalate service requests to vendor support when necessary.
- Alarm Monitoring & Response: Monitor incoming system/device alarms and events; take appropriate action according to established procedures and document outcomes to support compliance.
- Badging & Credential Support: Maintain badge printing hardware (DASCOM) and assist security operations with credential production and issuance using ID Producer and Wavelynx technology.
- System Administration & Data Integrity: Audit, add, modify, and remove system users and field devices based on least-privilege principles. Perform routine database cleanups for cardholder records, access permissions, and device inventories.
- Commissioning & Upgrades: Commission and test newly installed field devices to verify connectivity and functional performance. Plan and coordinate firmware/software upgrades across applications and field devices in partnership with vendors.
- Integrations & Project Coordination: Lead integrations with third-party applications and data sources (API-based, custom interfaces, or data integrators) and coordinate testing and cutovers.
- Documentation & Service Enablement: Develop and maintain operational documentation, including runbooks, SOPs, and commissioning checklists. Build and improve end-user request workflows using Share Point and/or Smart Sheet.
