Product Analyst
- 3+ years’ experience working with financial products or services in a product team in matrixed organization.
- Experience of working in a large and complex transformation or modernization projects.
- A self-starter who shows initiative and self-drive to get the job done and is willing to get ‘stuck in’.
- A deep understanding of originations, receivables, loan processing, or financial operations is highly desirable.
- Experience in gathering and documenting detailed business and functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in identifying product challenges, evaluating potential solutions, and defining clear approaches to enhance product value and user experience.
- Capability to define, track, and report on key product performance indicators (KPIs), identify areas for improvement, and contribute to product optimization through data-backed recommendations.
- Understanding of customer journeys to improve customer experiences and/or deliver business value
- A great communicator with the ability to articulate problems and solutions clearly then seek alignment across all parties and levels of the organisation
- Technical curiosity - you don't need to be a software engineer, but understanding technical concepts, system architecture, and API integrations will help you make better product decisions and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders
- Sign-off Coordination:
Procure formal stakeholder signoffs before moving into the definition and development stages
- Functional & Non-Functional Requirements:
Collaborate with PMs and Technical PMs (TPMs) to define and document FRs and NFRs specifically for the modernization project
- SaaS Configuration:
Perform hands-on configuration of product attributes within various environments on the ALFA SaaS platform.
- Customer Journey Analytics:
Utilize tools such as Quantum Metric and Adobe Analytics to perform data analysis across products, identifying friction in the customer and colleague journeys.
- Cross-Functional Demos:
Conduct and facilitate demo sessions for a diverse audience, including Engineering, UI/UX, Legal & Compliance, Operations, and Architecture.
- Arbitration Testing:
Support arbitration testing with dependent teams to resolve cross-functional logic conflicts.
- Testing Support:
Assist the QA/Testing teams in validating that user functional stories are fully met during phase-wise testing cycles.
You'll work with other product managers, product analysts, engineers and product designers in a complex and matrixed environment whilst contributing to the roadmap of your area.
- Defining "What" and "Why":
Deconstruct complex financial and credit requirements into clear, actionable User Stories. Take ownership of drafting all business user functional stories.
- Acceptance Criteria:
Write detailed "Definition of Done" criteria to ensure engineering teams have a crystal-clear understanding of success metrics and Ford Credit’s quality standards.
- Backlog Management:
Partner with the Product Manager to refine and prioritize the backlog, balancing business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
- Competitive Analysis:
Conduct ongoing market research to stay ahead of trends from competitors (e.g., GM Financial etc.)
- Strategic Road mapping:
Support the Product Manager in defining and maintaining the long-term vision for the Ford Credit modernization journey
- Voice of the Customer:
Synthesize customer feedback and NPS (Net Promoter Score) data to advocate for features that resolve pain points and improve the user experience
- Design Leadership:
Lead design sessions across Program Increments (PI) based on business priorities, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are engaged
- Documentation Mastery:
Prepare and manage critical documentation including BPM(Business Process Mapping),BRD(Business Requirement Documents), and PRD (Product Requirement Documents)
