In this position...
As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles the world expects from us. Within our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency.
You'll have...Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or a related field of study.(Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).
Experience:
- 3+ years' of 3D CAD review experience (Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, CATIA, or equivalent).
- 2+ years' demonstrated understanding of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and failure mode avoidance principles.
- Ability to travel within North American countries (including USA and Mexico) as required, which may include supporting launch programs.
Even better, you may have...
- 3+ years experience with automotive assembly tooling, processes and facilities.
- 3+ years demonstrated experience working effectively as part of across functional team.
- 3+ years experience in one or more of the following automotive systems: Interior, Exterior, Chassis, Powertrain, Electrical, Water test,End of Line.
- Expertise in understanding of bill of materials, change control, process allocation and issue management systems.
- Working knowledge of statistics (control charts, data collecting, etc.)
- Proven Project Management skills and result-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project etc.)

The expected annual salary for this Ford Credit Canada position is $74,000.00 – $124,000.00 and individuals may also be eligible to participate in our quarterly Flexible Bonus Rewards program.

What you'll do...The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Deliver Manufacturing Delivery Quality Operating System requirements and manage process sheets and Cycle Line Layouts to ensure assembly plants have complete operator workstations ready for launch.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Supplier Technical Assistance, and Material Planning and Logistics, to generate facility and tooling costs while improving quality and reducing labor requirements.
- Use virtual tools to evaluate the feasibility of new model designs for high-volume assembly and lead the resolution of Final Assembly Engineering issues.
- Lead manufacturing assembly builds—including Design Confirmation Vehicle, Tooling Tryout, Pre-Production, and Mass Production phases 1 and 2—across North American plants while identifying and closing all launch product and tooling issues.
- Create and manage a master schedule for the design, build, and implementation of subsystem tooling, including supporting vendor buyoffs and leading on-site installation and commissioning.
- Drive Engineering Change implementation throughout key program milestones and develop Lessons Learned to implement Prevent Reoccurrence Actions into future programs.
- Support department initiatives across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Morale, Environment, and Innovation.
