- Education: High School Diploma
Experience:

5+ years of previous engineering or manufacturing operations experience

Demonstrated experience in accomplishing tasks and objectives

Proven problem-solving ability

Microsoft Office proficiency (Word/Excel/Outlook)

Willingness to work all shifts/ alternative work schedule as required

Willingness to travel locally as needed during launch
Even Better, You'll Have...
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- Experience: Previous automotive and/ or quality analysis experience
- Proficiency in the use of problem-solving tools (Six Sigma, DOE, 8D, 5 Whys, etc)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to be self-directed in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-121,440., This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360., This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
What You'll Do...
- Apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products
- Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using the 8D tool, 6- panel, etc.
- Manage and direct statistical process control activities
- Knowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis & variable data analysis
- Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently
- Establish tolerance limits and facilitate appropriate corrective actions
- Establish and monitor quality target levels for each build
- Provide input for design and assembly concepts that will yield nominal variations
- Establish critical characteristics for gauging and measuring data collection methods
- Determine inspection equipment and facility requirements
- Support expedited concern resolution with cross-functional teams, including the Quality Department, Production, and Suppliers
- Review internal/external suppliers for critical characteristics process compatibility
- Review incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with the assigned area; must have experience with initiating containment, determining root cause, and implementing corrective actions
