Billing Support Engineer:

What does a successful Billing Support Engineer do?

As a Billing Support Engineer, you will drive excellence for our organization when providing Global support to both internal and external partners on Clover App Market related inquiries including Developer Billing. You will provide Billing Product and Billing Eng with insight into the merchant experience. We are looking for an analytical and innovative thinker who is able to quickly isolate the cause and impact of time-sensitive issues. Candidates must communicate findings in a clear and concise manner to audiences of varying technical backgrounds. Ideal candidates will proactively identify gaps in our product and processes, keep relevant stakeholders informed, and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.

What you will do:

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Ops, QA, Payments, Billing and Customer Support to triage, document, monitor, and help resolve merchant issues
• Provide operational support for launching additional products and features globally as it relates specifically to Clover App Market billing
• Identify ways to improve the merchant experience and work with the relevant teams to implement these opportunities
• End of Month billing operational execution which could span a weekend or holiday

What you will need to have:

• A high degree of technical aptitude for troubleshooting a diverse set of computer systems
• Innate curiosity for solving complex problems through hypothesis-driven problem solving skills and in-depth investigations
• Verbal and Writing skills to effectively communicate with different types of audiences.
• Experience with using a Snowflake Database
• Experience with creating and using Sigma Computing dashboards for Data Analysis
• Experience writing SQL queries.
• Min 1 year experience using SQL to pull data for reports from multiple sources.
• Min 1 year experience with data analysis using Excel and/or SQL querying
• Min 1 year proven in job experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance while adjusting to rapidly changing requirements

What would be great to have:

• Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL/Kibana querying, and Android OS troubleshooting
• Experience as a technical team lead or manager
• Experience with automating manual processes
• Experience with gathering technical requirements
• Experience with reporting to all levels of management
• Experience using Java to build tools that pulls data from multiple sources programmatically
• Experience with Retool and creating tools through that application
