About your role:
As Director, Corporate Development at Fiserv, you will lead strategic evaluation and execution of acquisitions, investments, and commercial partnerships that accelerate growth across our payments, processing, and fintech solutions. You will partner with business unit leaders, finance, legal, and external advisors to source opportunities, build rigorous business cases, and drive transactions from diligence through integration. Your work will strengthen Fiserv’s market position and support long‑term strategic objectives.
What you’ll do:

Identify and evaluate target companies, investment opportunities, and partnership prospects across relevant industry and solution segments.

Drive qualitative and quantitative analyses that define opportunity attributes, potential risks, and strategic fit.

Prepare and present financial models, valuation analyses (DCF, comps, precedent transactions), and accretion/dilution scenarios to senior leadership and the Board.

Lead and coordinate cross‑functional due diligence across Finance, Legal, Technology, HR, Risk, and external advisors; manage virtual data room processes.

Partner with Business Unit Strategy, Product, and Finance leaders to build transaction business cases, perform scenario analysis, and assess product/technology fit.

Participate in structuring, negotiating, and documenting principal commercial and legal transaction terms; support preparation and review of LOIs and purchase agreements.

Lead pre‑closing integration planning and contribute to continuous improvement of deal selection and execution processes.

Experience you’ll need to have:

Bachelor's degree
-
6+ years experience in equity research or mergers & acquisitions (investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or other transaction advisory).

Strong capabilities in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic analysis, including DCFs, accretion / dilution, LBOs, etc.

Familiarity with financial modeling best practices and industry standards.

Experience in leading cross-functional due diligence processes

Experience in structuring and negotiating commercial and legal transaction terms; reviewing purchase agreements, LOIs, shareholder agreements, and term sheets.
Experience that would be great to have:

MBA or CFA designation.

Experience working with financial services regulatory and compliance environments (e.g., regulatory review implications for acquisitions).

Prior experience in investment banking or private equity focused on financial services or technology transactions.
How you’ll work:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

Salary Range
$146,000.00 - $244,800.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
