Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!
Figma is scaling rapidly, and our tax function is evolving with it. As Director, Income Tax Provision & Compliance, you’ll lead income tax reporting and compliance while building the processes and controls needed to support a growing, global public company. This role combines technical depth with operational rigor - owning ASC 740 provision, overseeing compliance, and partnering cross-functionally to drive accuracy, readiness, and scale.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
-
Lead quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740, including managing key timelines, deliverables, and reviews
-
Own deferred tax calculations, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions (FIN 48), including effective tax rate analysis and forecasting support
-
Manage U.S. federal, state, and international income tax compliance, including coordinating and reviewing filings with external advisors
-
Oversee tax-related disclosures for SEC reporting (10-Q/10-K) and partner with Accounting to support audit requests and close processes
-
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting SaaS/digital businesses and translate implications into clear recommendations and action plans
-
Support audits, notices, and controversy matters by preparing documentation, coordinating responses, and aligning on positions with internal stakeholders and advisors
-
Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A/Strat Fin, Legal, and Operations to improve planning, forecasting, and decision-making (including M&A due diligence and integration support)
-
Build scalable processes and controls (including SOX-related controls over tax) and apply automation/AI where helpful to improve accuracy and efficiency
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
-
15+ years of progressive income tax experience, including both tax provision and tax compliance responsibilities
-
Deep expertise in ASC 740 and U.S. corporate income tax, including deferred taxes, valuation allowances, and FIN 48/uncertain tax positions
-
Experience leading quarterly and annual provision cycles in a public company or similarly complex reporting environment (including SEC reporting exposure)
-
Experience managing and developing people (this role will lead a tax manager) and coordinating work with external advisors
-
Experience preparing for, implementing, or modeling OECD Pillar Two requirements (or closely related global minimum tax readiness work)
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
-
SaaS/technology and/or high-growth public company experience
-
Experience with multi-state and international tax provision topics (e.g., GILTI/Subpart F/FDII) and/or global nexus considerations
-
Experience supporting M&A tax workstreams (due diligence, structuring, and post-close integration)
-
Advanced Excel and tax modeling skills; track record of improving processes through automation and modern tooling
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

Can someone duplicate or copy frames from a Figma file without showing up in viewer history?
I recently completed a paid trial task for a potential employer and shared the file with them. They came back saying they liked it and moved me to a second interview, but when I checked the file's viewer history, it showed no one had accessed it. The file is currently sitting in Drafts, if
