Job Description:

The Role

We are looking for a Valuations Analyst who will play a critical role in a high-volume, fast-paced, and continuously evolving operations environment. The Analyst is responsible for validating security prices and market movements, researching pricing exceptions, and maintaining accurate and detailed valuation. These valuations directly support the calculation of Net Asset Values (NAVs) across multiple products and are essential to protecting shareholder interests and maintaining the organization’s reputation.

The analyst also serves as a point of contact for internal and external business partners, responding to valuation-related inquiries with accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.

  • Research, analyze, and validate prices across a wide range of financial instruments, assessing price movements and valuation impacts using multiple systems.
  • Ensure pricing accuracy to support NAV calculations while safeguarding shareholder interests and the firm’s reputation.
  • Investigate and resolve pricing exceptions, escalating high-risk items as appropriate to minimize financial or reputational exposure.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and controls.
  • Identify and contribute to cross-divisional business initiatives and improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver effective, customer-focused solutions.
  • Lead complex processes and perform advanced problem resolution across daily valuation operations.
  • Act as a point of contact for management by escalating issues in a timely manner and coordinating resolutions across stakeholders.
  • Operate within a control-driven environment, ensuring ongoing compliance with reporting standards and regulatory requirements.

The Expertise & Skills You Bring

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 4 years financial operations experience
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to research issues thoroughly and communicate findings clearly to internal and external business partners.
  • High level of digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel; VBA knowledge preferred).
  • Ability to learn and work effectively across multiple systems and operating platforms.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, including equities, fixed income, and derivative instruments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify high-risk items and proactively seek guidance or escalate issues to mitigate losses.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

NOTE: Fidelity will not be providing immigration sponsorship for this position.
