Performs a variety of over-the-counter customer service, administrative, and clerical duties requiring direct and indirect customer interface
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general guidance completes the following activities:
Track shipment monitoring, interpreting tracking updates in Fed Ex systems and operations;
Assist customer in preparing shipping documentation, including international regulatory information assistance, shipping request preparation, and special notification related to worldwide pickup and delivery;
Assist customers with locating packages, answering questions about Fed Ex products and services, providing in-person customer service at the counter or on the phone;
Carry out shipment preparation with updates to Fed Ex systems;
Update and analyze operational reports (Timecard, Scans, CEBS, EOPS);
Carry out delivery routing;
Monitoring airlines and Fed Ex support areas;
Check packages to ensure proper labeling, legality of contents including weight and size, proper packaging, insurance values, special requirements for shipment of hazardous materials and compliance with required customs documentation at destination;
Provide administrative and operational support to the Station Operations Manager;
Monitor couriers on route, providing information on packages released for delivery, collection and address adjustments.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements: Minimum education:
High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Excel and Advanced Word;
Intermediate English
Minimum Required Skills:
- Written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationships;
- General administrative skills and computer knowledge;
- Flexible time required
- Ability to lift 24 kg or more using appropriate equipment
